The privacy of PromptCam users is essential to us. Here’s how we handle your data:

2. Data Collected

PromptCam allows you to read text while recording with the front camera. We collect:
- Content Data: Texts entered and videos recorded, stored locally on your device only.
- Advertising Identifier (IDFA): Used by Google AdMob to deliver personalized ads, with your consent via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
- Technical Data: Device type, iOS version, and anonymized error logs to ensure proper functioning.
No personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.) is collected, and no registration is required.

3. Use of Data

The data is used to:
- Provide the app’s features (text reading, video recording) locally on your device.
- Serve ads via Google AdMob to fund the free app.
- Improve the app using anonymized data (e.g., feature usage frequency).

4. Data Sharing

Data is shared only with:
- Google AdMob: For advertising purposes, per their policies (see here).
- Apple: For app downloads via the App Store.
Your texts and videos stay on your device and are not sent to us or third parties unless you choose to share them.

5. Data Retention

- Content Data: Kept locally until you delete it.
- Advertising Identifiers: Retained as long as you use the app, resettable via iOS settings.
- Technical Data: Kept for a maximum of 12 months, then anonymized or deleted.

6. Data Security

We use technical measures (e.g., SSL encryption for communications) to protect the app. Your local data depends on your device’s security.

7. User Rights

Under GDPR, you have rights over your data (access, rectification, deletion, etc.). To exercise them, contact senteinclement@gmail.com. These rights mainly apply to advertising identifiers, as local data is under your control.

8. International Transfers

Advertising data may be transferred outside the EU by Google AdMob, with GDPR-compliant safeguards (standard contractual clauses). Local data is not transferred.
